Letter from the Chair

Bob SullivanWelcome to CASE District II. All of us on the District II Board are pleased to be representing you and your colleagues in the largest of the eight CASE districts. We are proud to offer programs and services to support your work in institutional advancement.

The most prominent District II program is our annual conference, three days of professional seminars, networking activities and opportunities to meet with CASE Educational Partners, held in late winter/early spring in major cities in the District. But, that's not all that we do. We also:

  • provide Venture Capital Fund grants for a host of member-designed professional activities;
  • help you with efforts to attract and retain staff through the District Committee on Opportunity and Equity, and the work of the CASE/ASAP on-campus programs for students;
  • recognize outstanding work by CASE members and the people who volunteer and lead our institutions;
  • assist CASE in Washington with the achievement of CASE's organization-wide goals;
  • provide you and your staff with opportunities to become CASE volunteers and leaders.

The CASE DII Board and other District volunteers are committed to providing opportunities for all of us to network and to share best practices. We welcome your input and encourage you to tell us how we can improve what we do.

The CASE District II board, comprising 19 professionals from every area within advancement, represents a diversity of institutions and meets 3-4 times each year. The board is always interested in hearing about new ways to provide service and support to our membership. Recent planning topics and projects include: special programming for community colleges and independent schools, services to help institutions attract and retain staff, networking opportunities, the annual conference, and more.

As a volunteer-run organization, we need your involvement to be successful and productive. Please consider joining the hundreds of volunteers who share their time and expertise with us.

Many thanks for all you do for our profession.
