How to Enter
Eligibility
Advancement professionals at CASE District II member institutions are invited to submit entries for Accolades Awards in as many categories as they choose. Work done for your institution by freelancers and outside consultants may be entered through member institutions only; abstracts and other requested information must be written and submitted by staff at the member institution.
All materials submitted for the 2010 Case District II Awards Program must have been prepared between July 1, 2008, and June 30, 2009. Work entered will not be returned.

Deadlines
Entries: All entries must be postmarked no later than October 9, 2009. Submission materials should be sent to the appropriate Host Judge, listed in each category. No exceptions will be made.
Fees: The fee is $40 per entry.
Payment must be made by 6:00 p.m., October 9, 2009 by clicking
here. Entries for which no payment is received will not be reviewed by judging panels.
Entry Rules
- You must provide five copies of your entry package, which includes the entry form and all supporting materials.
- All entry packages must include the following:
b. An abstract or statement of objectives (maximum of two pages) outlining:
- General information about your institution:
- Type (for example, independent school, two-year college, public, private, women's/men's, etc.)
- Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) enrollment
- How your program relates to/supports overall institutional and advancement goals
- Objectives, target audience and how marketing research or market information was used for decision-making.
- Budget (printing, photography, etc.). Please indicate U. S. or Canadian dollars). Do not include the cost of staff salaries or postage in budget items.
- Supporting materials, as appropriate. Please limit number of attachments (for example, videotapes, brochures) to what is needed to understand your project.
- For publications, please include average pages per issue.
- Measures of success.
Entry Package Preparation: Submit 5 copies of each entry package
- Clearly label each entry package with the following:
- Category name and number (and sub-category, if appropriate)
- Submitter's name and institution and contact information
- Place large entries with many attachments in notebooks or binders that are clearly labeled.
- Do not mount materials to boards.
- Submit radio programming on CD/DVD or URL.
- Submit video programming on CD/DVD or URL.
- Attach a completed entry form securely with tape to each entry and each item of an entry submitted as a package.
Work will not be returned. Do not send original artwork, photographs, slides, or other one-of-a-kind materials.
Judging Criteria
The host judge in each category will assemble a panel of experts from both within and outside CASE member institutions. Judges will examine each entry for quality, creativity, innovation, adherence to professional standards, and success in meeting stated objectives. More detailed judging criteria are specified, as needed, in category listings. Judges have the right to eliminate entries not submitted in the appropriate category.
Each category is judged in a different location, as indicated under the category description. Be sure to include the entry form and any additional materials with each entry. Incomplete entries will not be judged.
Awards and Presentation
All awards will be made at the judges' discretion. Judges reserve the right to deny gold, silver, or bronze awards for any category where worthy entries are lacking. Winners will be notified by December 16, 2009.
