West VirginiaThis year, for the first time and at no additional cost, you will have an opportunity to explore important and timely topics in-depth through our new Master Sessions at the Annual Conference in Philadelphia, to be held February 7 - 9, 2009. These three-hour intensive workshops will cover topics such as Web 2.0, Recruiting and Retaining Staff, Benchmarking Your Program, Leadership, and others. Each session will be led by at least two experienced professionals, including college presidents, vice presidents, and daily practitioners. These sessions are open to higher education professionals of all levels of experience.

The District II Venture Capital Fund is for you.
In 2007, the CASE District II Board created the Venture Capital Fund as a means to support fresh and innovative programming ideas within the District II membership. The formal purpose of the VC Fund is “to provide support for professional development/ networking opportunities initiated and organized by advancement professionals at District II member institutions.” This initiative is a complement to, not duplication of, the funds that are directed toward priorities designated by the District II board.
A total of $10,000 in venture capital is available for the 09-10 year: $500 minimum; $2,500 maximum.
Grant applications are reviewed bi-annually with announcements of grant recipients made on October 12, 2009 and April 8, 2010.
All applications for Venture Capital funding will be given thorough consideration. Successful applications will most likely meet some of the following criteria:
