Venture Capital Fund Committee Announces Fall Grant Winners

The Venture Capital Fund Committee has granted awards to five institutions totalling $8,500.  Thank you to all applicants for your submissions.  The CASE II Board has approving funding for a second round of venture capital grants.  The deadline for spring grant requests is February 15, 2010.
Congratulations to the below institutions. We will post reports detailing outcomes on the website after completion of the programs.

Institution/Contact Grant   Project Description
Queen’s University
Ben Seewald, Alumni Officer, Students		  $1,000 To provide additional funding for Queen’s University’s Student Alumni Congress providing greater access to local Canadian institutions to participate in student-led alumni and development work.
Gannon University
Anita Miller, Director, Research & Foundation Relations		 $1,500 To provide greater opportunity to the underserved population of Western Pennsylvania researchers through helping to fund a workshop and follow-up training sessions.
University System of Maryland
Marianne Horrigan, Assistant Vice Chancellor		 $1,000 To provide additional funding for their December conferences on social networking serving 13 CASE member institutions. 
Bucknell University
Kathleen Graham, Director of Gift Planning		 $2,500 To provide funding for engaging a national speaker/trainer to speak and lead discussion on the topic of planning for cultivation and stewardship of unmarried couples
Georgetown University
Kristina Foelsche, Director,
Class Programs		 $2,500 To provide support for a day-long summit for East Coast alumni relations and development professionals on generational programming, volunteer engagement and cultivation strategies.
