Congratulations to the University of Maryland-College Park, Drew University, and the CFR Roundtable of PA/NJ/Delaware as winners of the 2009 Venture Capital Awards.

The purpose of the District II Venture Capital Fund is to provide support for professional development/networking opportunities initiated and organized by advancement professionals at District II member institutions. The Venture Capital Fund is a complement to funds directed toward priorities designated by the District II board. The fund is to be used to meet programmatic needs identified by individuals or small groups of District II members.

The winners received an award maximum of $2,500 and a minimum of $500, out of a total of $10,000 funds available. The winning applications are detailed below:

University of Maryland – College Park - The University of Maryland's central annual fund department is planning a Regional Call Center Conference for call center managers and student supervisors in District II to share their knowledge and experience on a wide range of topics pertinent to call centers. Award: $2,500.

Drew University - Assistance in convening a series of quarterly Annual Giving "summits" among colleagues throughout NJ and eastern PA. Participants will share and learn from each other.
